Sauvignon Blanc

This greenish-skinned grape is native to the Loire Valley, France, although its quality is noted in Chile and New Zealand. It takes its name from the French words sauvage ("wild") and blanc ("white"). This grape is planted in many countries around the world and produces a refreshing, dry white wine. Depending on the climate, the aromas can range from very herbaceous to sweetly tropical, although all are highly aromatic, with high and pleasant acidity and aromas of herbs and citrus.
